I have a strange fascination with looking into the closets of fashion designers, the fridges of chefs, the make up bags of make up artists and so on well the same goes with the homes of architects and interior designers, you always want to see how the professionals do it, right? well how amazing is this black and white Victorian home of South African interior designer, John Jacob. it all looks too delectable for words. i have to admit i have a mid (okay full blown) obsession with black framed pictures and i love the ones he has in his kitchen of ancient buildings. also checkout the checkered floor and the striped rug in the sitting room. the whole black and white scheme looks so elegant, this is the kind of house you want to visit for very long weekends but are scared of owning (because of well, all that the cleaning) but i suppose the kitchen looks easy to maintain with the tiles .
by the way click here if you want to see an interview of the designer talking about his home before a dinner party with his friends.
these people pulled off black and white crazy well. i used to think that it could look tacky, but these are beautiful spaces. i ❤ apartment therapy–i go there everyday for my daily dose.
